10 ECO-FRIENDLY JUICE PULP RECIPES FOR YOUR LEFTOVER PULP

Creative ways people are reusing their leftover juice pulp.

Juicing can be one hell of a messy affair and the amount of leftover pulp astounding (especially the amount of juices I get through in a day).

At first I was unsure what to do with all the leftover juice pulp, aside from putting it in the food waste bin and donating it for compost. But then I thought there must be more creative ways people actually reuse their pulp.

So I had a look into it and found some interesting things people are doing with their waste. From feeding their chickens to adding it to soups. I also realized using juice pulp is a great way to increase the fibre in your diet.

So here is a list of 10 innovative recipes people are making with their juice pulp. I have also added a few more things at the end, you can do with your leftover waste.

OTHER WAYS TO REUSE YOUR JUICE PULP

• Compost

I donate my leftover juice pulp to a very nice man who has an allotment. There is nothing more satisfying that knowing my fruit and veg pulp is contributing to growing new fruit and vegetable. Ahh, the great circle of life at work!

• Chicken Feed

I was quite surprised when I heard this from a customer of mine who said their chickens love leftover juice pulp. After doing some online digging for this article I also found people doing the same thing. Go Figure hey.

• Mix with dog food

I found a few articles on this topic, where people were mixing their used juice pulp into dog food. You may want to check with a vet on this one however, as apparently, apple pips can be toxic to dogs. Check out this article for more info.

Like with a lot of things in life, people find the most creative ways to use and reuse all types of materials. It is good to see the many ways in which people are reusing their leftover juice pulp.
